Swim Lesson Levels
Level 1: Water Introduction
- For children with little or no swim experience.
- Focus on water comfort and safety.
Skills taught:
- Entering and exiting the pool safely
- Submerging face
- Floating with assistance (front and back)
- Basic arm and leg movements with support
Level 2: Fundamental Skills
- For swimmers comfortable in the water, ready to learn independence.
- Skills taught:
- Front and back float without support
- Gliding on front and back
- Introduction to front crawl arms and flutter kick
- Jumping into shallow water and resurfacing
- Basic treading water with assistance
Level 3: Stroke Development
- For swimmers able to float and move independently.
- Skills taught:
- Front crawl with side breathing
- Back crawl introduction
- Treading water for 15+ seconds
- Introduction to elementary backstroke
- Swimming in deeper water with confidence
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
- For swimmers comfortable in deep water with basic stroke ability.
- Skills taught:
- Front crawl with improved breathing technique
- Back crawl refinement
- Elementary backstroke proficiency
- Introduction to breaststroke and butterfly kick
- Treading water for 30+ seconds
Level 5: Stroke Refinement
- For swimmers with multiple strokes, focusing on endurance and technique.
- Skills taught:
- Refinement of front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke
- Introduction to butterfly arms and coordination
- Flip turns and open turns
- Treading water for 1+ minute
- Swimming longer distances with efficiency
Level 6: Fitness & Lifesaving Skills
- For advanced swimmers preparing for competitive swimming or lifeguarding.
- Skills taught:
- Mastery of all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)
- Starts, turns, and finishes
- Endurance swimming and timed distances
- Basic rescue techniques and water safety skills
- Preparation for swim team or lifeguard training
